Spring in Our Yard

I love Spring! I love the beauty of the sky, the new growth and colors and Easter. Sunday I decided to take some pictures of our side yard and breezeway. I love to decorate our breezeway. I think it makes a guest feel welcome and it's so inviting to drive up to our home and see a pretty entryway.
This is the view you see as you drive down our driveway.
We live in the country and are surrounded by pastures and beautiful trees.
We are slowly relandscaping the perimeter of the house beginning with the side entrance. Our Knockout Roses are absolutely gorgeous this year.

I decorate the French doors, the breezeway and the small baker's rack I found at a local antique mall. I just love this baker's rack, it fits perfectly beside my storage room and next to the walkway to the patio.
I also adore Mexican Heather and garden flags. I think the flags let a guest know when they drive up that they are always welcome and to come on in. I've collected small garden flags for quite some time and I'm always on the lookout for new ones. This Easter flag is one of my favorites.

One last look at a beautiful rose.

I hope you've enjoyed the pictures of my side yard and breezeway. I love my home and I'm always decorating something in the house or in the yard.

Happy Easter from our home to yours.

Susan, I'm so happy to see your beautiful house! Those roses are just fabulous! I am hoping the roses of my great grandfathers come up this year. My husband accidently cut them with the weed eater:-( Thanks for stopping by last week! It's always nice to "see" you!

I would love to walk through your breezeway, and I would definitely feel welcome. My favorite part, although I really just think it's all lovely, is the sign that says, "I know my Redeemer Lives"

What a welcome!

Love your flowers.. Your easter flag is wonderful. I had some yellow roses this past week. I hope it's a bountiful summer for both of us.

I love that baker's rack! It reminds me of my new patio set! Your yard looks great!!!

My house is in some serious need of some curb appeal! There's still so much needed on the inside too!

Thank you all so much for the lovely comments.
Alison, I bought the baker's rack at a local antique mall in the summer of 2010 for $50 and it has been worth every single penny. I decorate it for most holidays and as I said I like to really let guests know they're welcome from the minute they pull into our driveway.
