I Won A Giveaway!

A few weeks ago, Mary, over at Home is Where The Boat Is offered the cutest giveaway and it was all about reading, flip flops and fun in the sun, and since those are some of my favorite things I entered.  Sand Pail Selections and Flip Flops! is such a colorful, fun post and I quickly fell in love with the book selections, sand castles, flip flops and of course, the sangria! Here is a photo of Mary's delightful giveaway prizes.

When my box of goodies arrived I could barely contain my excitement! I've never won anything, EVER!!
Isn't this exciting? I almost forgot to take pictures, but came to my senses before I ripped into this wonderful box of goodness!
As I gently unpacked the box taking care not to tear anything, I cherished every little item. I'm corny like that. Having never won anything before I didn't want the moment to end!

I couldn't stand it any longer, so the tissue started flying! Keeper, my Bichon, thought Mama was going crazy! She looked at me as if to say, "One more squeal and I'm outta here!" She's pretty camera shy so I told her that Mary's Bichons, Chloe and Gracie, pose all the time for pictures and are featured regularly in Mary's posts. She reluctantly gave in. Okay, I bribed her, but then she must have sniffed that a Bichon had been near the gifts, so she began to sit and pose and I went to town taking her picture. My girl will not be outdone!

I absolutely love the goodies I received! As a reader I'm always on the lookout for new and different books and the two books included, Chasing Fireflies and Amaryllis in Blueberry, are next on my reading list. This was such a wonderful gift to receive during these end of Summer days and I couldn't be more pleased.

Thank you so very much, Mary, Chloe and Gracie! We love our gifts!

Hi Susan! I'm so glad Keeper approves of your Sand Pail Selections! Someone commented a while back that Chloe & Gracie were so photogenic, but I had to confess that they were "photo-vated" to pose with treats :)

Enjoy your books and happy reading to you! Hope you are staying cool in this heat!

What a great prize package, Susan! Your furbaby is adorable!

I got that mirror frame from Mirror Mates and they include everything you need to put it together and attach it to the mirror. It is actually adhesive type strips that go on the frame after you glue the sections together.

I love how it all came packaged in a sand pail. That's just so cute, and it's so very creative (just like Mary.) She happens to be one of my very favorite bloggers. Her blog is like eye candy!!

What a fun gift, Susan! We truly don't celebrate the Summer season here in the desert; it is just something we have to get through in order to enjoy the rest of the year!

I appreciate that you responded to my recent post about font-style, size & color. I do have one other little issue, & please don't think I'm being mean and crabby, but "word verification" drives me (and many others) crazy! Just sayin'.

Hello Darlings! Thanks so much for dropping by my blog. Phoebe appreciates it too! I wanted to tell you that I rescued her two and a half years ago from the same rescue I got my beloved Albie Bichon Boy from. I knew Phoebe wasn't purebread Bichon but I didn't care. I recently had her DNA test done and guess what? She is almost all full purebred miniature poodle! With a small mix of some other unknown breed. Isn't that crazy? I have her cut like a Bichon because I love the "big head" so much. Hope you're having a fabulous week and all that creativity is flowing!

Susan, Thanks so much for stopping by and you thoughtful comments. Gosh everything on my table is so old except for the feather wreath, which came from a little gift shop here in town, the dishes I have had for at least 12 years and I think I got them at Kirkland's, the flatware came from Value City about the same time I bought the dishes, the napkins came from a garage sale and look as though they were made by a very good seamstress, glasses are from Pier
One. Hope this helps, I bought this stuff years ago when the leopard was all the rage, then just tucked it away for a while. Hope we talk again soon.

Susan, I found the galvanized tray on Amazon. It was part of a set (3). I also saw one that had a cute rope handle--and a tier (PB-esque). Have a happy Memorial Day!

Hi Susan and thanks for stopping by. I love looking at old homes even though I live in one. Two of my favorite sites are Circa and Old House Dreams. Old House Dreams may be my favorite because of all the comments and great information the followers leave on the site. There are some very knowledgeable people on the site. Hope we talk again soon. Blessings Sandy
